Portland defeated Santa Clara by a score of 2-1 in double overtime. The Pilots were led by the two goals of Christine Sinclair, one of which ended the game. Santa Clara's goal was scored by Dewyn Hawkins. This was only the third time that the Women's College Cup had been extended into overtime. It was the first national title in women's soccer for Portland.
